The purpose of business skills training is to improve the competencies and capabilities of SMEs to be creative and innovative and to manage key business areas efficiently and effectively in order to start, manage and grow their businesses successfully. It is a critical first step to business success. The various levels of training are described below.
Level 1 training is for aspiring entrepreneurs and newly established businesses that are less than or 2 years old, who need guidance on how to start and manage their businesses the right way. By the end of the training, participating entrepreneurs will have a thorough understanding of how to start a business successfully and prepare a sound business plan.
The training consists of the following modules:
1. Pre and Post Training Business Skills Assessment
2. Planning
3. Finance
4. Operations
5. Marketing
6. Customer Service
7. Human Resources
8. Administration
9. Technology
10. Risk Management
Training Fees: Kes. 58,000 inclusive of VAT. Payment can be made in full or in three equal installments of Kshs. 19,333, at the beginning of each month.
Level 2 training is for existing businesses which are less than or about 7 years old, who need guidance on how to improve their business systems and processes, in order to increase revenues and profitability and accelerate growth in their enterprises. By the end of the training, participating entrepreneurs will have a thorough understanding of key business systems including how to develop and manage them for profitability and growth and sustainable business success.

Level 3 training is for existing businesses which are at least 7 years old, financially stable and ready to move their businesses to the next level. By the end of the training, participating entrepreneurs will have a thorough understanding of how to plan for and successfully manage the expansion of a business.
